While we’re closed for the winter season, we’ll be undertaking some essential maintenance – lots of minor things like cleaning and making sure the artifacts are in good conditiond to fixing the rather more pressing problem of a leaking pipe in the heating system!

We’re also working on setting up the new Family History room and local museum which we hope to get ready for the 2011 season.

The Valiant Soldier was an active pub in Buckfastleigh which closed in the late 1960′s and never re-opened. Everything was literally left as it was and today, it’s open as a museum, giving visitors a glimpse of the past…

We’re now closed for 2010. Hope to see you all in 2011!
