Can we help ?

We are also happy to assist people who wish to research family and town history by arranging access to the archives. There are charges for research
and copying done by our volunteers on the behalf of the enquirer.

Can you help?

We are always glad to hear from people who have information or materials to add to the history of the town and its inhabitants, either to be donated
or loaned to be digitally recorded.
We are keen to hear from people who might like to volunteer to help the work of the Archive Department.

D-Day exhibition

For this 2019 Open Season the Archive Department is organising a display relating to the impact of WW2 on Buckfastleigh leading to the presence of the US Army billeted here leading up to the D-Day landings and beyond. The loan of any relevant material would be gratefully received. You can contact us by phoning the Valiant Soldier when open or by emailing us directly at valiantsoldierbuckfastleigh@gmail.com.
